Reflecting on our ATLAS SkillTech University Faculty Immersion Program – USA 2025, the visit to the Wharton San Francisco on October 9th was a cornerstone experience. As a professional operating at the intersection of academia and technology, engaging with one of the world’s leading institutions provided significant insight into the future of higher education and value creation.
The session focused on Wharton’s core thematic pillars: Finance, Entrepreneurship, AI, Leadership, and Impact.
Fostering a Robust Entrepreneurship Ecosystem
One of the most valuable takeaways was the detailed overview of Wharton’s Venture Initiation Program (VIP). This framework is designed to segment student pathways into distinct roles: Explorer, Founder, Joiner, and Investor.
This structured approach to venture creation—moving students beyond theory into practical, defined roles—is a model that deeply resonates with our commitment to experiential learning.

Gratitude

The willingness of the Wharton faculty and administration to share their expertise was truly impactful. My sincere gratitude goes out to the team for generously sharing their insights on scaling ventures and driving value creation: Prof. Lori Rosenkopf (Venture Lab/Entrepreneurship), Irina Yuen (Venture Lab), Christina Wu (Career Services), Michael Peterson (Tech/Venture Initiatives), and Richard Waterman (MBA programs).

Thank you once again to the leadership team at ATLAS SkillTech University—Dr Indu Shahani mam, Heena Thakkar mam, Siddharth Shahani, and Meena Krishna—for organizing this transformative opportunity.
